The recruitment process for Aldi Cardiff’s Regional Distribution Centre is now well underway as we move further into 2016. This process began early 2016, when Baxter Personnel recruited first group of candidates for Aldi, starting with Trading Assistants, Non-Merchandise Accounts Assistants and Warehouse Section Leaders, allowing Aldi to train staff for up to 12 months prior to the new distribution centre opening in 2017.
Training for the roles is initially based at Aldi’s existing Regional Distribution Centre in Swindon, however, Aldi are providing luxury accommodation to all successful candidates undertaking training during this period.
Baxter Personnel are currently recruiting for logistics roles such as, Transport Section Leaders – Day Shift and Transport Section Leaders – Night Shift, and the commercial roles they are recruiting for are Store Operations Assistant, MD Personal Assistant, Logistics Personal Assistant, Property Personal Assistant, Store Accounts Assistant and Merchandise Accounts Assistant.
As well as the commercial recruitment, they will also be recruiting for hundreds of warehouse and logistics positions towards the summer in preparation for the Regional Distribution Centre officially opening its doors in 2017. Some of the roles to be recruited for in the next few months will include, Quality Control, Warehouse Operatives, Cleaning Operatives, HGV Drivers and much more.
Being awarded this opportunity at the end of 2015 was the perfect end to a very positive year for Baxter Personnel, who have made the leap from being a successful and established regional recruiter, to recruiting across the UK on a national scale. This success is down to their new business model introduced at the start of 2015, and the sheer commitment and determination driven by their consultants and management. The company has opened several new branches throughout the UK as a result of their close working relationships with a number of high profile clients.
Over the last few years, Baxter Personnel have already successful placed hundreds of workers at the Aldi Distribution Centre in Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire, which opened its doors in early 2015, as well as originally working on the Aldi Darlington Distribution Centre in 2013. The business model and strategy used during this recruitment project helped the company achieve a high retention rate of staff at the Aldi Distribution Centre, demonstrating Baxter Personnel’s eye for detail, ensuring that the client’s needs are met and that they are able to quickly and effectively select the right candidates for the roles.
